AUSTIN REIKI MASTER

I am a ninth generation Reiki Master Teacher in the direct lineage of Reiki founder Mikao Usui.  I was attuned, studied, trained and co-taught directly under and with Michael Abedin. I proudly continue his Reiki legacy by continuing to teach a new generation of students. 

Reiki has been an integral part of my personal healing journey through being widowed twice and Long Haul Covid.

In spring of 2023, I made a life changing 21-day Reiki pilgrimage to Japan, the birthplace of Reiki, including climbing Mt Kurama and learning with Reiki practitioners and teachers from all over the world. Since returning, my Reiki practice has been stronger and more intuitive.

I am grateful to offer Reiki love to my private clients and students. I also offer Reiki  through a local hospice agency. Since 2023, I have volunteered regularly as a Reiki practitioner with Vet TRIIP, Inc. (https://www.vettriip.org), a non-profit organization in San Antonio that serves military veterans living with chronic pain and/or post-traumatic stress. 

Through my Reiki work, I have met so many Starseeds and Lightworkers and was inspired to create a community to connect us. I offer in-person and online meetup opportunties and retreats. 

I am a starseed who was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. After college, I moved to Austin, Texas and was a CPA/Financial Auditor for nearly a decade before becoming Mom to two awesome kids (who are technically adults now!).  

In my free time, I love listening to many genres of music and am passionate about continuous learning about health, metaphysical, and spiritual topics. I am also a certified yoga teacher and ordained minister.

My teaching style balances the spiritual and metaphysical aspects of Reiki training with grounded, practical technique-oriented instruction. Powerful meditations alternate with hands-on instruction and practice, as well as interactive learning. No experience is necessary. Everyone is welcome and honored wherever they are in their spiritual or healing journey. My goal is to be a nonjudgmental facilitator to give students the practical, simple tool of Reiki for healing physically, mentally, and emotionally to whatever level they are ready.
