created & published by Michael Abedin
William Michael Abedin (1951-2019) was the owner, editor, publisher, sales manager, and janitor (as he jokingly would say) of Austin All Natural Magazine.
With the help of the magazine’s Art Director (Pun Nio), Cover Artist (Leslie Kell), and mostly volunteer distribution staff, this advertiser supported free full glossy print local magazine was published monthly from 2006-2019.
It educated, highlighted and connected the local holistic and metaphysical community. It showcased Michael’s untiring effort in presenting holistic practitioners and alternative healing, with respect and relevancy. With Michael's humor and writing (chronicling the Austin scene), each issue reminded readers to look inside themselves to seek peace and love.
At its peak, 12,000-15,000 copies were available at over 300 sites from Georgetown to San Antonio, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Westlake, Lakeway, and all points in Austin, including all Whole Foods and Central Markets, fitness centers, practitioner offices, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
The very loyal monthly readership was estimated at 35,000 to 45,000 in print and online.
In addition to being the owner/editor of Austin All Natural Magazine, Michael was a Reiki Master Teacher, Bach Flower Remedies Expert, and amateur actor. He was also a Fifth Degree Kenpo Karate black belt and instructor for decades, and had worked many jobs as head of security in Austin, as was a disc jockey when he first moved to Austin.
